What a week without cellphone coverage taught me...

This summer I spent a week in a part of Colorado that has no cellphone coverage. For that week I had not internet, text or calling ability. Surprise surprise, the world kept spinning without me reading about it. My love for reading the news is such that I probably read 4 or 5 financial publications a day. While this diet of financial news is fun, it really doesn’t move me forward toward any of my financial goals.

Be willing to disconnect and read books instead of the tsunami of tweet like articles that crisscross our financial news media. You will probably be smarter and calmer as a result.
